Classification and methods of making biological scaffolds

Abstract
The most important approach to producing
bioscaffolds is to regenerate body tissues. Scaffolds must be able to increase
the strength of cells and cause biological changes in them. Bioscaffolds allow
cells to settle on their fibers and tissues, and they cause the transfer of
biochemical factors and the release of nutrients. This study attempts to
examine and classify scaffolds by mentioning their characteristics and
manufacturing methods. The results of the research show that common methods for
producing scaffolds include electrospinning, freeze-drying, 3D printing, phase
separation, gas foaming, and particle washing. Bioscaffolds are also classified
into four categories: hydrogels, 3D bioprinting, nanofibers, and
microscaffolds.
