Allelopathic effects of Trigonella corniculata L. on weed suppression
Abstract
Allelopathy, the chemical interaction between
plants, is a promising area for sustainable agriculture and weed management.
This review paper explores the allelopathic potential of Trigonella corniculata
L. (fenugreek) in suppressing weed growth. The allelopathic effects of T. corniculata
are examined through a comprehensive literature review, focusing on its
chemical composition, mechanisms of action, and practical applications in
agricultural systems. This paper aims to provide insights into the potential of
T. corniculata
as a natural herbicide, contributing to eco-friendly weed management strategies.
